Find your next job via ego surfing

Ego surfing, or Googling yourself, is the act of entering your name into the mighty Google-ma-tron and seeing what, if anything, comes back.  The more results, the bigger your ego growths. Well an enterprising chap by the name of Alec Brownstein wanted to pursue a career with Y&R New York.  His plan.  Play to the egos of Gerry Graf, David Droga, Tony Granger, Ian Reichenthal and Scott Vitrone - top Creative Directors.  How?  Watch the following. I love this idea because it's simple, innovative and has proven very effective.  He has since won two pencils and a Clio for his idea.

[/caption] Remember those adventure books you used to read when you where a kid? You know, the ones that let you control your destiny. Do you climb the tower to save the Princess, or stand your ground and fight the dragon? Well Jonah Peretti (@peretti) has taken this paradigm to Twitter. The only question is.  Will you take the adventure?

Twitter: The Criterion Collection

Twitter: The Criterion Collection from sween on Vimeo.

So, stumbled across an article about 10 people that got famous through twitter.  One such person was Jason Sweeney (@sween).  Jumped over to his Twitter page, read a few tweets, became a follower, then headed off to his site. Amongst his posts, was Twitter: The Criterion Collection.  Together with @poeks, they asked 'What if Twitter...came to life?'  To solve this, they enlisted the help of their friends, who were tasked with filming their favourite tweets.  The creators state that there was only one rule:
We didn’t care how they did it. They could read it. They could act it. They could do it with puppets. Whatever they wanted. The only rules were it had to be a tweet written by someone else and it had to contain the entire tweet and nothing but the tweet.
The result, the video above and some very entertaining viewing

So true

[/caption] from Mashable.com .  Post found showing this nifty little tool from Dispair, inc, that takes those cliché motivational posters.  You know the ones.  The fluff propaganda that sits on your managers wall. The tool lets you create your own, inspiring 'motivational parody' from, customising your image. This one in particular made me laugh.  This post is a testament to that.
